Terms and conditions

The terms on which a transfer is booked and carried out.

1. Scope

These terms apply to transfer services arranged by Danish Limousinen-Service GmbH via germanride.com. Transfers are private hire journeys booked in advance; they are not a taxi service and cannot be hailed in the street.

2. Booking and confirmation

A booking becomes binding when we confirm it. The confirmation names the vehicle class, the pickup point and time, and the agreed price. Please check it — an incorrect address or flight number is the single most common cause of a failed pickup.

3. Price

The price is fixed before booking and derived from the road distance of the journey and the vehicle class. It includes tolls, airport access charges, VAT and the driver. It is not a meter and does not change with traffic. Additional charges can arise only from changes you request — extra stops, a changed destination, or waiting beyond the free allowance.

4. Waiting time

Airport pickups include 60 minutes of free waiting from actual touchdown, provided a flight number was given. Pickups from an address include 15 minutes. Waiting beyond the free allowance may be charged at the rate stated in your confirmation.

5. Luggage and passengers

Every vehicle class states its passenger and luggage capacity. Booking a class that cannot carry your party or your luggage may mean the journey cannot be performed as booked. If you are close to a limit, book the next class up.

6. Child seats

Child seats are provided at no extra charge when specified at booking. Under German law children must travel in an appropriate restraint; a seat that was not requested may make the journey impossible to perform lawfully.

7. Cancellation

Free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed pickup time. Details are set out in the cancellation policy.

8. Performance by partner operators

Journeys may be carried out by licensed partner operators. Where that happens, the service standard, the agreed price and these terms are unchanged.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health, and for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Governing law

German law applies. Where you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.
