Terminals A, B and C at Hannover have separate airside areas but sit side by side on a single landside road. Terminal A takes EU departures and arrivals across six jet-bridge gates, and has its own arrivals area rather than sharing one.
The number that matters most here is not a gate count. It is three: three minutes is the free stopping time in the zone in front of the terminals, the shortest of any airport in this network by some margin. Ten minutes at Frankfurt, ten at Hamburg, eight at Nuremberg, three here. Terminal A has a bar landside, which is the honest answer to "where do I wait", and worth knowing given the three minutes. Note also that car parks P4, P5 and P6 are out of use for works into late 2026, which narrows the options further.
