Coming out of this terminal

Terminal B sits in the middle of Hannover’s row of three, directly beside Terminal A, with six jet-bridge gates. It handles EU traffic and a share of non-Schengen departures, TUIfly and SunExpress among them, so the mix leans towards leisure.

Like A and C it has its own arrivals area and its own airside, but landside all three open onto the same road. That layout is what makes Hannover feel small even though it is the eighth-busiest airport in the country — you are never far from the other terminals, and never inside a building long enough to get lost in it.

The constraint is at the kerb rather than in the building: three free minutes, the shortest in this network, and car parks P4, P5 and P6 out of use for works into late 2026. Terminal B does not have a landside bar the way A and C do, so there is nowhere obvious for a driver to wait it out.

Where your driver stands

Your driver waits inside the Terminal B arrivals area with a name sign, taken from the live flight rather than from your booking form.

Leisure traffic means bags, and bags mean time at the belt. With three minutes at the kerb and a car park programme reducing the alternatives, the gap between a booked transfer and a favour from a friend is wider at Hannover this year than at almost any other airport we serve.

If you land at a different terminal

A change to Terminal A or C is a short walk outside along the shared road. It costs minutes rather than a shuttle ride or a fare, and because we take the terminal from the live flight, the driver has already moved by the time you reach the exit.

FAQ

Questions about this terminal

Which airlines use Terminal B at Hannover?

EU traffic plus some non-Schengen departures, including TUIfly and SunExpress. Terminal B has six gates with jet bridges and sits between Terminals A and C.

Does Terminal B have its own arrivals area?

Yes. All three Hannover terminals have separate airside areas and their own arrivals, while sharing one landside road. Your driver meets you inside the arrivals area of the terminal your flight actually uses.

How long is the free stop at Hannover Airport?

Three minutes, which is the shortest of any airport in our network. Terminals A and C have a landside bar for anybody waiting longer; Terminal B does not.

How far is Hannover Airport from the city?

11 km to the north, reached from the A352 and the A2. The S-Bahn is the sensible choice for one person travelling light into the centre; a car earns its price with a group, with luggage, outside service hours, or heading anywhere other than the Hauptbahnhof.
